Addison Group is working with a rapidly growing healthcare organization in Houston seeking a skilled Cash Application Specialist . This role is available due to internal restructuring and team growth, offering a strong opportunity for long-term stability and potential advancement within the company.

Job Description:

The Cash Application Specialist will be responsible for posting payments, performing daily reconciliations, and ensuring accurate allocation of transactions. The position is fully onsite to start, with potential for a hybrid schedule in the future based on performance and department needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Download and review bank transactions through online platforms
• Post manual and electronic payments with attention to accuracy
• Reconcile daily bank statements and match transactions with internal records
• Identify and address discrepancies, overpayments, and missing documentation
• Collaborate with accounting and billing teams to resolve issues
• Maintain documentation of EOBs, payment confirmations, and financial records
• Assist with audits by maintaining clean, organized records
• Monitor and follow up on refund or transfer requests
• Prioritize and respond to payment-related inquiries and emails
• Provide recommendations to streamline reconciliation and posting workflows

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of experience in cash posting or payment application required
• Solid understanding of EOBs, manual/electronic payment posting, and reconciliation
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
• Experience with payment processing systems and bank platforms preferred
• Stable work history required (no frequent job changes)

Additional Details:

• Assignment Type: Contract-to-Hire (CTH)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (some team members work 6:30 AM–3:30 PM or 9:30 AM–6:30 PM)
• Location: Fully onsite to start – Houston, TX 77081
• Free onsite parking

• Reports to: Department Manager
• EMR: Experience with common payment posting or PM software preferred
