Job Summary
Chloeta is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Hydrologic Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions to help our clients manage their water resources effectively and efficiently.
Job Classification: 1099 Independent Subcontractor
Duty Station : Remote/ Virtual with potential travel required
Duties/Responsibilities
Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic studies, including the analysis of data and preparation of reports
Develop and implement water resource management plans, floodplain management plans, and stormwater management plans
Design and oversee the construction of water management infrastructure projects, including stormwater management systems, floodplain mapping, and floodplain modeling
Perform quality control and quality assurance checks on project deliverables
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, clients, and stakeholders
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and regulations related to water management
Prepare project cost estimates, schedules, and proposals
Required Skills/Abilities
Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software.
Expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing techniques.
Strong project management and leadership skills.
Experience in grant writing and securing funding for projects.
Knowledge of climate change impacts water resources.
Strong understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles and methodologies
Experience with computer modeling and simulation software, including HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and ArcGIS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with clients and stakeholders
Passion for sustainability and water resource management
Education and Experience
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Hydrology, Civil Engineering or related field
Required: Minimum of Five (5) years of experience in the field of hydrologic engineering
Preferred: Master’s degree in Hydrology, Civil Engineering or related field
Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license
